Genie In A Bottle - Your Universe in Pictures

Are there things in life that you have wanted but which have eluded you? Material things, physical attributes, human connections-that for one reason or another you've simply been unable to achieve?

My wife Angela and I made what I call a 'vision board' when we were looking for a new home. We wanted the house to be 4,000 square feet, near the water but not far from the mountains, on a certain amount of acreage, in the Pacific Northwest, and as a lark, because it's something my wife had always wanted, with a gazebo. So we got out the poster board, a glue stick, some magazines, crayons and colored pencils and set about collaging our dream house complete with water to the west, mountains to the east, and gazebo.

What happened? Less than six months later our Realtor showed us our dream house, down to the last detail.

I can almost hear the naysayers out there collectively negating the possibility of us manifesting our house with some art supplies and collage crafting. I am not here to turn anyone into a believer, I am simply here to pass on what has worked for me, what has worked for scores of my students, and inviting you to take it or leave it. My hope is that you'll take it.

For those of you on board, no doubt you're asking, 'How does this work?'

In an earlier post I spoke of befriending our other-than-conscious gentle giants-the great unconscious. And if you haven't yet read that article, please do so because there is some powerful information on how we can ask for help when we need it and get it.

How it works is: what we think about, what we look at, what we concentrate on, we attract to us. We are again contacting that gentle giant, that genie in the bottle, and asking for exactly what we want.

This is important-we're not asking for what we don't want. We're not saying: 'I don't want any more debt.' Because that will bring us more debt. We're not saying: 'I don't want to continue to have bad relationships.' Because that will bring us more of the same.

Concentrating on what we want in this tactile way and giving it energy and setting our intention for it positively will speed up the process of having exactly what we want.

Once your vision board is ready place it somewhere where you will look at it at least ten minutes a day. Maybe have it next to your bed on the wall so that as you wake up in the morning it'll be the first thing you see.

One of my students even scanned his vision board and turned it into wallpaper on his computer screen. He even went so far as to create a webpage that he could go to from any computer in the world just to call up the image of what he's manifesting.

If you have scanned it, it can also be shrunken down to the size of a 3 x 5 photograph and printed out for you to have a handy travel sized copy.
